And now the wait is over as the Music of most awaited film of the year the A R Rahman's Blue has been over. The movie under Sri Ashtvinayak banner and the Music & Background Score is of no one but the Last Year's Oscar winner A R Rahman. After Oscar winning its Rahman's first music release and there was a Lot expectations from the listener's side.If U listen the complete Album U will find a lot more than what U hav expected to him. This is the first Shreya no. in the Album and is a duet with the talented Shukhwinder Singh. The most interesting part of the song is its lines "Chal Chal Sara Rara Re" Shreya is just amaging rendering the lines.The lyrics as written by Mayur Puri is just Awesome. The creates an energy within the song . Shreya seems to hav used her vocals as she used in the tracks in the Album Pooja Bhatt's "Holiday" . The song on the whole is a mindblowing composition. Must Listen the track............

2. Fiqrana

This is an another duet of Shreya with Vijay Prakash(who sung Manmohini Morey in Yuvraaj for Rahman). Actually Shreya is an essential part of the track but got very few lyrics only in the mid of each Antara.This song is one of the best tracks of the year 2009 and going to be good milestone for Vijay Prakash.The music is just awesome.This 5 min 25 sec song will must hit the Charts. Must Listen to this track also.

3. Rehnuma

This is a typical Rahman no. as this song will not attract U in the first turn but as rahman other no.s if U listen it few times U will get addicted of this track. Thiss track titled "Rehnuma" is a Duet of Sonu & Shreya and the lyrics which has been wriiten by Abbas Tyrewala and is mindblowing.At the start of the song Shreya's soft lines are mindblowing when Sonu joins her.Shreya modulated sensuous voice in the song adds extra attraction to the track.Sonu is also at his Best in the no. and I must say that U all will be addicted of the track after U listen it few times.Really Rahman is an amaging composer as he knows whose voice will fit the song.Must Listen this whole Album...............

Main Aur Mrs Khanna

After the last music release of Wanted last month Sajid-Wajid has again come up with another melodious Album The Salman Khan starrer Main Aur Mrs Khanna.This album also contain some mindblowing no.s.Actually all the composers know if there is soft melodious track there is no alternate of Shreya. So following this the Album has four tracks of Shreya.Actually only two tracks and three versions of a track makes it four.Coming to the tracks:-

1. Don't Say Alvida

This is a very sweet song sung by Sonu & Shreya.Music & Lyrics is also nice and need to say abt the vocals as on the mic there r Sonu & Shreya.The song starts with soft sonu's voice & Shreya joins him a little bit late but after that the song is complete duet with full melody and sweetness.This song has two more versions one is its remix versions which has the same singers and another is the sad version of the song which is abt 1 min 30 sec and is a solo of Shreya but she has only one stanja abt 40 seconds of vocals in the tracks and the rest is music.All the versions are nice and U must go for it especially for the duet-the original version. This is a sweet duet of Wajid & Shreya. As this song starts U will find the song exactly like the Soniyo from Raaz The Mistry Continues. But It changes its way later and U will find Wajid is also doing a good job in singing also. On The whole the song is good to listen but not makes such an effect to be addicted of the song. Lets see if in future may happen to this track. For now enjoy listening the song..........

You must be excited about winning the National Award for the third time
More than excited, Im grateful to God for this honour. I didnt know that I had won the award because I was recording and my cell phone was switched off. My mom was trying to get in touch with me frantically to break the news. Only when I got back home did I come to know about the award.


The song for which you won the award was a chart-topper for a long time

Thats the beauty of the song. When I recorded Yeh Ishq Hai (Jab We Met), I somehow knew that it would strike a chord with a lot of people. It has a beautiful vibe to it and the composition was amazing. In fact, when I was recording the number everything fell into place. I enjoyed myself thoroughly and got into the flow of things immediately.

So how important is winning a National Award

This is my third National Award and I feel over the moon! Its always good to receive recognition for the hard work you have put in. As far as converting it into work is concerned, thats not a point of concern.

You are quite a firecracker on stage as well

Its a challenge to perform on stage; any singer will vouch for that. But I like feeding off the vibe from the audience. Its a little scary also. There are times when the sound is all messed up or the musicians make mistakes on stage. As a performer you have to cover up those faults and not let the audience know. But recording and live performances are equally challenging . There are days when singers are tired and their voices dont sound up to the mark. The recording does not go that well and its frustrating for the composer and singer. But I guess these are professional hazards.

There has also been a drastic change in your image. You have become more stylish

I love dressing up. At home and at my recordings, Im dressed casually . But when I make a public appearance I like putting a fashionable foot forward. My sense of style is completely mine be it the toga style gown or the short churidaars . I dont have a stylist because its a drag to find a good one. I think with the ever-growing scrutiny from the media one tends to get a little conscious. But I see nothing wrong in dressing your age and being stylish.

So, any plans of celebrating your win

Well, as of now I havent made any plans. And I dont want to throw a party or anything. I would prefer to take a long break and go on vacation instead . Thatd be a great way to celebrate.

The National Award for the year 2007 has been declared and it is a matter of grt pride for the Fans of Shreya that she has been declared the besr female playback singer fo the year 2007 for her song Yeh Ishq Hai from Jab We Met. This track is an another slow no. with a heart touching feel and the music U will remember the Anan Faanan from Namastey London.The lyrics says abt the soloness of a person and like the last track Shreya has got the later half of the song and her voice has been changed to a grt extent in starting lines but in that voice also she is marvelous and in the next line when she is original she is mindblowing. This song is also a grt no. must listen this song......

3. Teri Meri Dosti Ka
This one is the track completely a female oriented song. The song starts with slow lines but later the Violen & Octopad took the charge and really the Violen music is superb. Maximum part of the song has been sung by Shreya and her voice is just awesome in the song. The end of Antra occcurs with high pitched Himesh's voice and sounds good. On the whole the song is quite good and melodious and U all will love this track of the album too heartly. Keep Listening the song.......

4. Shaam Ho Chali Hai
And at last this very sweet duet of the the duo Himesh & Shreya titled "Shaam Ho Chali Hai", a very sweet 5 min 44 sec song. Shreya has small part at the start of each Antra but is a strong contribution to the melody of the track.And The variations Himesh has created in the Antra is mindblowing.This one is also one of the best tracks of the Album.I hope our opinion on the Album & the vocals & the Music will not be different.So U will like to this song too.........

After Dil Bole Hadippa The long break of the melody from the Duo Pritam & Shreya was over. Pritam has a grt talent He make some special compositions for some special people and know how good The Artist is going to sing it . As the upcoming movie "Love Khichdi" is seems to be a low budget comedy movie and its music has been composed by Pritam. Since 2007 I hav been waiting for a Private Album of Shreya of her own melody no.s as she has told in one of her Interviews in the last of 2006 that next year she will come up with her own Private Album.From that time I just waiting & waiting. After a long time my wait has ended as Pritam came up with Shreya with a melodious track.Pritam's upcoming Album DIL BOLE HADIPPA under Yash Raj Banner hav punjabi type no.s in which one of the track is a Grt Melody no. titled Ishq Hi Hai Rab. Actually this is a Duet of Shreya with Sonu Nigam not exactly duet because the male and female tracks are completely separate with female part in the first half and the male part in the later half of the song.
The sweetness of Shreya's voice , her perfect rendering and a brilliant composition by Pritam came up with this grt track. Sonu is also at his best and the feel of both the singers is just awesome in this song.
I think this song will rock and will be a Smash Hit......

After the grt melody no.s like Dupatta Tera from Partner and Tumko Dekha from God Tussi Great Ho , Sajid-Wajid came up with new melody no.s in the Boney Kapoor's upcoming movie WANTED starring Salman Khan . And again in this movie Shreya has got a sweet melodious track titled Dil Leke , a Duet with Shaan.

Coming to the song , it starts with a part of SARGAM "Pa Pa Sa Re Ni Sa" with chorus voice and then the melody of Shaan & Shreya continues till the end. The song has a feel of her previou Tumko Dekha from God Tussi Great Ho. But nothing to worry as it is quite melodious composition. The Sargam part repeats in the song after each Antara and the music by Sitar in this song give this song a special attraction.Both Shaan & Shreya are as melodious as before. On the whole the song is quite melodious and U all will enjoy listening the song.

Teri Meri Yeh Jindagi(Life Partner)

Starting with Pritam Chakrobarty a well known Composer is continuously spreading his music in the bollywood. But now a days he is quite busy in composing Peppy No.s more with Neeraj Shridhar. I was hoping a sweet composition from him in the movie Love Aaj Kal sung by Shreya but it was not there.As he also knows the talent of Shreya and make her sing so many melodious no.s like Ye Ishq Hai , last year's clean chit winner Teri Ore & the most difficult and melodious classical no. Mere Dholna.Due to all these melodies by the combo Shreya & Pritam I expect a lot from each album of Pritam. His recent music release is of the Movie Life Partner in which he has given a song to Shreya titled Teri Meri Yeh Jindagi.The song is nice but I thing the song to be a male oriented song. May be possible that the script of the movie wanted this but the movies coming these days hav maximum Male oriented songs especially by Pritam. I wanted to say all the composers to compose Female oriented song also or a complete Duet like Tere Bin from Jashnn.Coming to the song it is quite good & U will enjoy listening the track.

IIFA 2009

The most awaited award show Indian International Film Academy Awards 2009 has announced the winners in all categories during the IIFA Weekend going on in Maccau.As we were waiting before the nominations.The result is in our favour and Again Shreya is leading for the Crown of The Best Female Playback Singer in Bollywood.This consecutive year too was grt for Shreya As she is having Both IIFA and Filmfare awards in both of her hands for the Year 2008 & 2009.Hope this sequence will continue endless.

We hav seen in the IIFA last year Shreya had the Record of having 4 out of 5 Nominations for the best playback singer(Female).But this time it should hav at least 2. But as it was not we were expecting for the only nomination.The winning of the award is OK but I personally was not happy with the nominations.Hope it will be perfect in Future. For now it is time for Celebration.Lets celebrate this win of Shreya as another milestone in her sky touching Career. Congratulations Shreya ............. Keep the way touching the sky always.......... The best part of the show was that Shreya has also performed this time at IIFA and so waiting for the Telecast of IIFA 2009 .Hope U all will enjoy the Show.................

This time also Shankar Ehshaan & Loy has done a good work in the movie Shortkut.All the songs are good and the one sung by Shreya and Javed Ali titled Kyun Hota Hai Dil Deewana is a nice track from the album.Shreya in her own style rendered this semi fast track melodiously. As her presence only describes the melody of the track.With a general lyrics ,the track is good to ears.Hope U all will like the song.

The title will must remind U of the very sweet Tamil song Ninaithu Ninaithu from the Tamil Movie 7/G Rainbow Colony composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and melodiously sung by Shreya.This movie Gilli is the remake of 7/G Rainbow Colony in Kannad.And music composed by the same Yuvan.Music is completely the same but lyrics is something different.As I don't understand a bit of Tamil or Kannad so can't differentiate clearly.But upto melody here Shreya is back for retaining it.The same tone and again a mindblowing sweet melody.I think as Ninaithu Ninaithu was a grt hit in Tamil This very Neenendu Neenendu will be a grt hit in Kannad.

Humko Kehna Hai(Kisaan)

After the strike has ended one by one every Producer whose film was on a halt due to strike is now releasing Music of their movies.

Next on the row is Sohail Khan starrer "Kisaan".Music has been composed by Daboo Malik and in the Album a complete Melodious song is there sung by Shreya and Shaan. After the end of the strike The combo Shreya & Shaan seems to be leading in all the upcomings like Jashnn,Morning Walk and Kambakht Ishq.

Coming to the song titled "Humko Kehna Hai" is a very sweet soft song and beatifully sung by Shreya and Shaan.The songs has simple romantic lyrics with Punjabi Touch in Male lines.The song on the whole is a melody treat of a composition as of 90's.This songs fulfills the vacancy of Shreya missing in the 90's.

After a long duration Anu Malik came up with the music of the most awaited film Kambakht Ishq.And another grt news is that He has given a sweet melodious no. in the album.We hav seen Shreya with Anu's melodious compositions like Suna Suna from Krishna Cottage and Chhann Chhann from Munna Bhai M.B.B.S .

In the movie Kambakht Ishq all other tracks are not so good in my opinion but the one sung by Shreya i.e. KYUN a duet with Shaan is fine composition with sweet voice of Shreya. She leads the whole song.She has also a solo version of this song in the movie.

I think this is the magic of sweetness of her voice that she is gettting continuously melodious tracks from all composers. Carry On Shreya.......................

This song has been composed by Sandesh Sandilya , a song full of Melody sung by Shaan & Shreya.This song leads the whole album.this doesn't mean that other tracks r not good as I hav said ealier that this album is full of melody and thunder.I think Tere Bin is one of the sweetest of the tracks sung by Shreya.

Track#2 Nazarein
This song composed by the young Toshi-Sharib combo is a duet of KK & Shreya as contains a little part of Shreya's Voice but is awesome track again. Its Kilogram Mix Version is a little bit better than the original.

Shreya Again With Yuvan.......in OY!(Telghu)

The great composer of southindian music Industry Yuvan Shankar Raja and The Melody Queen Shreya again came up with a melodious Peppy track titled Anukoledenadu from the Upcoming Telghu Movie Oy!.

The earlier songs of the Yuvan-Shreya combination were grt hits at that time including that soft heart touching Ninaithu Ninaithu.

This song start with a strike mode and continues its melody till it ends. After Listening the song it gave me a slight feel of the Shreya's melodious tracks Ye Ishq Hai from Jab We Met and the Barso Re from Guru. At last the song is very nice and U must listen it.

Sorry Friends I m very late publishing this very post as the song Oh Chandamama from the Kannad movie "Muniya" has been released in April(2009). But coming to the song the composition by G.Abhimann Roy is marvelous and Awesome singing by Shreya and Rajesh Krishnan.
The song starts with some flute and Guitar and Then the sweet voice of Shreya gives the song the feel.Shreya is at her best in melodies throughout the song and co-singer Rajesh also gave his best.The song keeps versatality in music and the change of nodes are mindblowing.All these make this song such a melody that U can listen it a many times without boring.

IIFA 2009

Hello Friends The time we were waiting has now come and the Nominations for the tenth IIFA Awards has been declared. As expected Shreya is in the nominee list of Best Female Playback Singer for the song Tere Ore from Singh is King. I m a little bit disappointed that this year only one nomination For Shreya has been announced dislike last year when she had 4 out of 5 nominations in IIFA 2008.
It is not the matter that this year she has not good songs. Songs like U Me Aur Hum, Aahista Aahista should hav to be nominated but as this is not in our hands and we can only wish and vote for her that Shreya will hav to win IIFA 2009.

We hav seen a lot of time the Two legends i.e Shreya & Anu Malik has worked together.
Anu Malik always believed in Shreya from the beginning at the time of Saaya , Soona Soona from Krishna Cottage, Chan Chan from Munna bhai or The Big Hit Main Hoon Na.All the superb compositions he shared with Shreya.
Now After a long Time Anu Malik is working with Shreya in his most awaited film of the Year 2009 Kambakht Ishq. In this movie Shreya has sung a duet with Shaan titlled KYUN.

Any Genre Its only Shreya who is ruling. Just another example is the new song in Telghu Movie Romeo sounding Enthaga sung by Shreya is just a mindblowing job She has done. The song is so sweet as before like all her songs.Shreya's rendering is just superb. Before this song we hav listened her in the recent Telghu Movie "Konchem Ishtham Konchem Kashthem" composed by SEL one song with Sonu Nigam and another with Shankar Mahadevan. Both the songs were fantastic.And just the same is the case here.

Finally the day came and The name called for The best Female Playback singer has been announced.As our expectations She is no one else but our Melody Queen Shreya.
And the song was one of the greatest hit of the Year Teri Ore from Singh is Kinng.
At the time of Music Launch of the film I heard the song once and just thought of its nomination
in the Filmfare 2009. I also put a poll in Shreya's community that if she is Winning Filmfare for this song or not and I think app 90% voted to Of Course she will win. And the expectations of all her fans she fulfilled after taking The Black Lady in her hands.
We expects the same from her in the future and pray for her that she touches more heights.

Finally Music of Delhi 6 has been released and rehman again does the Miracle in his Music.Again Shreya has done a tremendous job with Rehman sir in the song BHOR BHAYE. A complete classical song with back vocals of Ustad Bade Gulam Ali Khan Sahab.No words to say about the song b'coz such type of song are not made these days.Shreya with her fine classical singing sung the track with full melody.She has this very classical song after Mere Dholna in Bhool Bholaiya which was also a great hit.Hope she will continue with giving such great tracks in future.

The coming Film DELHI 6 seems to be a big budget Film.And it is a matter of pleassure for all the fans of SHREYA that she has sung song in the film.The another good thing is that the music has been composed by A.R.Rahman.
From 2006 we are seeing that A.R.Rahman is giving continuously good songs to Shreya from Barso Re in GURU to Latto in GHAJINI.It is great complement to Shreya and her Talent that such a great Composer is taking her continuously for his tracks.We hope this will continue further.We are waiting for her track in DELHI 6.
